1980 photo of the scale model
This photo from 1980 shows the model which builder and architect Jack Dornbusch made of Isla de Oro. Most of what he envisioned was constructed.
The major differences from what he wanted to build and what we now have today are:
- Towers 4 and 5 were never built,
- The peninsula (front; lower left of the photo) is still mostly undeveloped land;
- The marina looks different, although in roughly the same location.
A scale model similar to the one shown in the photo is at display in the Isla de Oro administration office in Caracas.
